Prompts in Spanish
Set your line's language so callers hear our prompts in Spanish.
Each line has a language: English or Spanish. It sets the language of everything callers hear from us, as opposed to your own audio messages.
- On your dashboard, choose Line settings.
- Under Language callers hear, choose Spanish (Español).
- Choose Save.
Callers hear the change on their next call.
What changes
- What callers hear when there’s nothing to play, or when your line is unavailable, is in Spanish: for example “No hay ningún mensaje disponible en este momento” instead of “There is no message available right now”.
- A caller who comes back to a long audio message is welcomed back in Spanish, and told to press 0 to start over.
- Your goodbye is read by a Spanish voice, so write it in Spanish.
- Recording by phone speaks Spanish once you enter the PIN of a Spanish line. Before the PIN it speaks Spanish only if every line you can record on is in Spanish.
- If your line calls people who signed up for calls, those calls are in Spanish too.
What doesn’t
- Your audio messages and greeting play exactly as you recorded them. Record them in the language your callers speak.
- A number that isn’t connected to a line, and the rare “this line is having trouble right now” notice, are in English, because we can’t tell which line was called.
