What callers hear

The greeting, your audio message and the goodbye, in that order, and the keys callers can press.

When someone calls your number:

  1. Your greeting plays, if you’ve set one.
  2. Your current audio message plays.
  3. Your goodbye is read aloud, if you’ve set one.
  4. The call ends.

Callers can press 0 to start the audio message over, 1 or 3 to go back or skip ahead 30 seconds, and 7 to hear the previous audio message. A caller who calls back after stopping partway through a long audio message picks up where they left off. See Keys callers can press.

If there’s nothing to play, callers hear “There is no message available right now. Please call back soon.”

To have callers hear these in Spanish, see Prompts in Spanish.

Check what’s playing

Your dashboard shows Callers hear now for each line, and Next if something is scheduled to change. You can always call your number to hear it for yourself.
